About the All-Ohio Medical School Opioid Use Disorder Collaborative Curriculum

The pages contained within this portion of the Library website provide content created for a common medical school curriculum on pain management and opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment led by Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED). Each section within the three main topic areas listed below (Pain Management, the Interrelated Nature of Pain, and Opioid Use Disorder The Decision to Treat) provides curriculum templates, PowerPoint presentations, and various supplemental resources created by experts at all seven medical schools in Ohio. Sections also point to relevant journal articles, book chapters, and websites. This material will help implement a train-the-trainer program that will train faculty to teach and implement a medical student (MS) curriculum in response to the opioid epidemic. By training students in pain management, this curriculum will develop a clinical workforce that will improve systems of prevention and treatment for OUD and expand access to OUD medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
