The library is housed in a 30,000-square foot facility that is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week for NEOMED keycard holders. This facility includes a large, quiet study area with 52 individual study carrels; wireless access; 12 public computer stations; 4 large group study rooms; 7 small group study rooms; informal seating areas for 300 people and the Read Distance Education Center (RDEC). The RDEC is a multimedia classroom with 40 computer workstations; 2 smart boards; an instructor’s computer; remote classroom and video conferencing capabilities. All library computer workstations have Microsoft Office products, full Internet and e-mail access.
The library group-study rooms offer a variety of learning and discovery tools. All group study rooms are equipped with computers with large display capabilities. Two group rooms are outfitted with white board tables that are conducive to brainstorming sessions.
Library users are encouraged to follow this guidelines to create the best experience for everyone.
- Study rooms and equipment, like the mobile whiteboards, are available on a first come, first served basis.
- Please return any furniture, equipment, or materials to its original location so that it is easy for others to find.
- Please do not leave unattended personal belongings in group study rooms, make the space available for other users.
- Group use of the study rooms is prioritized over individual use. Individual users may be asked to accommodate a group.
- Thank you for keeping the library spaces clean and ready for the next user.
