Important Announcement: The New Library System and updated E-resource login process are Here!. As part of OhioLINK, Ohio's academic library consortium, the NEOMED Library is updating its 30-year-old shared systems. The new system allows researchers to "discover" print and electronic resources with a single search. Click here to start using the new system. Additionally, we have also changed the way that you all will login for off-campus access to the electronic resources provided by the NEOMED Library. All NEOMED students, faculty, clinical faculty, staff, and retirees, will click on the "Login using your NEOMED Network credentials" link on the login page. From there, you will be routed through NEOMED's network login process using the same login credentials that you use for logging into your email, Sharepoint, and other essential NEOMED networked resources. Please be patient with us as we get everything situated for your use and contact us with any questions at 330-325-6600 or e-mail library@neomed.edu for help.

The Library offers a variety of services to all NEOMED students, regardless of your year or location. We offer free appointments that can be scheduled with a librarian to help with:

  • Literature Searching - We can help you locate the latest evidence for assignments, research projects, and publications. Meet with us to learn how to search using controlled vocabularies and keywords in a variety of biomedical databases.

  • Resource Selection - Navigating which resources to use for different projects and assignments can sometimes be a challenge. Our staff provides expert advice on which database to search within based on the topic/discipline of the project.

  • Research Datasets and Gray Literature - Contact us if you need to find statistics, data sets, or gray literature.

  • Find Funding and Potential Research Collaborators - We can advise on how to find government and private funding sources and how to communicate your research accomplishments in an NIH Biosketch profile.

  • Citation Management - Citation management tools are programs that collect records or citations from research databases (indexes, catalogs, etc.) that you can then organize for your research projects. We provide training in how to set up and usZotero and Mendeley software.

  • Comprehensive Literature Review Support - Contact us if you are working on a long-term thesis or research project requiring a comprehensive literature review. We can help devise a search strategy which will more accurately and efficiently find what has been published on a topic.
