How Do I?

How do I borrow a book from NEOMED or the associated hospitals?

Books can be borrowed from the NEOMED library collection, from affiliated hospital libraries and from OhioLINK libraries. You can request items online from either affiliated hospitals or OhioLINK and have them sent to the NEOMED Library or to an affiliated hospital library. You may also borrow materials in person at any OhioLINK library. A picture I.D and your NEOMED library barcode is required in order to borrow books at or from any of these locations.

How do I borrow a book from a library outside Ohio?

You can request a book that is not owned locally or through OhioLINK. Before requesting an interlibrary loan, check the NEOLINK catalog and the OhioLINK catalog to see if affiliated hospitals, universities, or colleges own the item. If so, request it online from the catalog page for that item.

If it is not owned by a NEOMED library affiliate, or another OhioLINK library, you can place an interlibrary loan request through ILLIAD. This is a free service, but you must register for an ILLIAD account at https://neomed.illiad.oclc.org/illiad/; just click "First Time Users". NEOMED affiliation will be verified before article requests will be filled.  Please allow 5-7 business days for books to arrive.  Questions?  Email ill@neomed.edu
