Students will take part in an interactive overview on 12-Step and other community programs. Participants will learn, apply and test their knowledge via interactive discussions. The goal of this course is to help participants develop their knowledge about 12-Step and other community programs to aid the process of referring patients, including those with opioid use disorders.
Instructional Strategy: Lecture/Discussion, 30 minutes

- Review the empirical support for 12-Step programming combined with MAT
- Describe the philosophies, practices and terms common to 12-Step programming
- Identify overtly MAT welcoming community programming
