TOPIC: Timed Clinical Questions

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

 AT THE END OF THE SESSION, STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • Answer a clinical question when time is limited.
  • Explain strategies that they can use to quickly decide which resource is appropriate to answer a basic clinical question.

        We are simulating basic clinical questions that you might receive during your clerkships or electives. These are questions in which clinical faculty may expect you to quickly find an answer. You will receive 14 clinical questions that need to be answered in a 50 minute time period. You are restricted to using the resources provided in the left column. You must cite these resources. You may utilize more than one resource to answer one question if needed. Your completed assignment should be uploaded to the HSC III assignment tool.

BRING TO CLASS: Your laptop and smart phone if possible.
