Evidence Based Medicine Thread in the College of Medicine Curriculum: Overview

Evidence based medicine (EBM) is a longitudinal thread that runs through the College of Medicine curriculum. EBM content is found within multiple courses in the curriculum. This guide is focused on illustrating where EBM content is found in the curriculum and provide educational support to some EBM class sessions and assessments.

Module & Session Abbreviations

  • M1 Year
    • Pop Health = Population Health
    • PPC I = Patient, Physician, and Community I
    • PPC II = Patient, Physician, and Community II
    • ICE = Integrated Case Exercise
  • M2 Year
    • PPC III = Patient, Physician, and Community III
    • PPC IV = Patient, Physician, and Community IV
    • PPC V = Patient, Physician, and Community V
