Request an appointment with a NEOMED librarian to get expert advice and training for your research project or assignment, as it applies to using library collections. Consultations can also involve instruction demonstrating how to use library collections and tools. |
Literature searches |
The library provides advanced searching services to support individual and group research projects involving any type of literature review. Contact us at the beginning phases of your project to develop an expert-level strategy and ensure that you locate the most relevant resources for your topic. |
Instruction & Workshops |
NEOMED Library teaches a variety of workshops and stand-alone classes to support the ongoing education of students, faculty, and staff. Within the curriculum, librarians work with faculty to develop and teach information literacy. They also provide instruction to individuals on library resources on a walk-in basis or by appointment. |
Research Metrics & Impact |
NEOMED faculty, staff, and students are welcome to submit requests for reports on individual departments or academics to better understand their research impact. Various metrics will be assessed and support can also be provided to support NIH Biosketch applications. |
Assistance with Citation Management |
Library staff are available to train faculty, staff, and students in the use of citation management tools such as Zotero and EndNote Web (also known as EndNote Basic). |
Borrow & Renew |
Books can be borrowed from the NEOMED library collection, affiliated hospital libraries and from OhioLINK libraries. You can request items online or in-person. |
Interlibrary Loan (ILLIAD) |
InterLibrary Loan services are completed through ILLiad, a borrowing, and delivery system that lets you order articles and books, and check the status of your request. Article requests will be sent directly to you as a PDF, even when the library is closed. |
