You can request a book, article or media not owned locally or through OhioLink. Before requesting an interlibrary loan, check the NEOLINK catalog and the OhioLink catalog to see if affiliated hospitals, universities or colleges own the item. If it is available in either of those catalogs, then simply request it online from the catalog page for that item.
In cases when the library does not have access through NEOLINK or OhioLINK, then you can request the through interlibrary loan (so long as you are affiliated with NEOMED as a faculty member, student, or staff). The most convenient way to request any article, book, or dissertation is through the Library's EBSCO Discovery Search Service: https://libraryguides.neomed.edu/EBSCO-EDS
Place the InterLibrary Loan request through your ILLIAD account. You may register for ILLIAD at https://neomed.illiad.oclc.org/illiad/. NEOMED affiliation will be verified before requests will be filled.
Articles will be delivered to your ILLIAD account and will be accessible for 30 days. Books and Media will be available for pick up at the information desk in the library.
The NEOMED Library does not charge users for an interlibrary loan requests. That being said, we will notify the requestor in cases when the item will cost a significant amount to retrieve from the lending library, to ensure that this request warrants the expense.
