Important Announcement: The New Library System and updated E-resource login process are Here!. As part of OhioLINK, Ohio's academic library consortium, the NEOMED Library is updating its 30-year-old shared systems. The new system allows researchers to "discover" print and electronic resources with a single search. Click here to start using the new system. Additionally, we have also changed the way that you all will login for off-campus access to the electronic resources provided by the NEOMED Library. All NEOMED students, faculty, clinical faculty, staff, and retirees, will click on the "Login using your NEOMED Network credentials" link on the login page. From there, you will be routed through NEOMED's network login process using the same login credentials that you use for logging into your email, Sharepoint, and other essential NEOMED networked resources. Please be patient with us as we get everything situated for your use and contact us with any questions at 330-325-6600 or e-mail library@neomed.edu for help.

Library Updates (COVID-19)

Accessing & Linking to Library Resources in Canvas

Links to many resources are posted in Canvas. These links will require you to authenticate as a NEOMED library affiliate to access.

To authenticate, you will need your student ID number (i.e. 00123456, for library purposes do not include the @). You should have received this from enrollment services.

There are two different types of URL’s that will require authentication.

Option One: NEOMED licensed resources – you will see the EZproxy prefix (http://neomed.idm.oclc.org/login?url=) at the beginning of the URL, or you will see a link to our Discovery layer.

In both cases, when you are off-campus, when you click the URL or on the full text within the Discovery Layer, you’ll get a page asking for this information:

Screen-capture of library login page for PubMed proxy

Your name will be your given name: Last, First.

Your library ID number is your student ID number. You’ll need to enter the zeroes; the system wants an 8-digit number not including the @.

Option two: OhioLINK licensed resources – ohiolink.edu will be in the URL.

When you click the URL, you’ll first be asked to identify your institution.

You will then be prompted to enter your login credentials as  noted above.

Note – your student ID number provides off-campus access, lets you request books, and allows you access to printing using the campus printers.

If you ever forget your ID number, stop by the library or call the Information Desk at 330-325-6600.
