NEOMED CLOSED FRIDAY, JANUARY 5, DUE TO DANGEROUSLY COLD WIND CHILLS

The University will be closed Friday, January 5, as the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for Northeast, Northcentral and Northwest Ohio due to dangerously cold wind chills (as low as 25 degrees below zero) that will be occurring the evening of Thursday, January 4 through the evening of Friday, January 5.

The Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect to noon on Saturday, January 6.

Do not go outside unless absolutely necessary!

A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will combine to create low wind chills. Frost bite and hypothermia can occur if precautions are not taken. Cold wind chills will cause frostbite in as little as 30 minutes to exposed skin tonight and Friday night. If you must go outside, please make sure you wear a hat and gloves.

Please note that businesses within the NEW Center make their own decisions regarding closures. Please contact them directly with your questions.
