NEOMED LIBRARY 2020 REPORT

Throughout 2019, NEOMED Library continued to advance its mission to support learning and research through its services, resources, and spaces. Below you will find a selection of key performance indicators highlighting the impact we had on our users throughout Northeast Ohio. These indicators are pulled from our 2020 Report, which covers our impact more comprehensively.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

COLLECTIONS:

Scope & Usage of our Collections in 2019
  • ​197,809 e-books available
    • 47K e-books downloaded

    • Average of 11 e-books downloads per student, faculty & staff member

  • 30,618 e-journals available, providing access to over 30 million articles
    • 190K journal articles downloaded

    • Average of 45 journal articles downloads per student, faculty & staff member

  • 3,700+ physical items on-site and access to millions of print titles via university partnerships
    • 8,763 physical items checked out to NEOMED Library users (both in Rootstown and at our seven affiliate hospital sites)

SERVICES & SPACES:

  • ​Over 27,000 in-person visits to our spaces within the Aneal Mohan Kohli Academic and Information Technology Center (Kohli Center)
  • Over 11,800 print and interlibrary loan items circulated
  • Over 1,300 books cataloged

RESEARCH & INSTRUCTION:

  • Twenty-nine instructional sessions, reaching over 500 session attendees
  • 109 comprehensive literature searches and research consultations completed to support our faculty and students in their research and coursework
