AT THE END OF THE LECTURE, STUDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO:

  • Use information mastery resources to help evaluate the literature and answer clinical questions
  • Describe and use resources designed to help clinicians search for medical evidence and evaluate evidence
  • Discuss how FRISBEE can be used to determine the validity of a research article
  • Describe the barriers of evidence based medicine
  • Describe the +AllTrials movement and its importance to clinicians and patients
  • Explain how the COMPARE Project and OpenTrials could impact patient care.
