The prostate gland is an important part of the male reproductive system. The prostate is responsible for adding fluids to semen which allows semen to travel throughout the male reproductive system successfully. Prostate cancer is more common in men over 50, but can occur in those younger. Below is general information about the prostate gland and prostate cancer.
