Healthfinder contains over 1600 health topics, personal health tools, and health news to help people live well. Healthfinder is a governmental source, sponsored by Health & Human Services. The site also includes information in Spanish.
Mayo Clinic’s site is produced by a team of Internet and health experts working side by side. The site provides professional expertise of over 3,400 Mayo Clinic physicians and scientists. Some of MayoClinic.com’s features are their "Symptom Checker" and "First-Aid Guide" for fast answers about health conditions. They also provide a section on common medical tests and procedures.
MedlinePlus includes information from the National Institutes of Health and other vetted reliable resources on over 800 diseases and conditions. There are medical encyclopedia and a medical dictionary, easy-to-understand tutorials on common conditions, tests, and treatments, extensive drug information, health information from the media, and links to thousands of clinical trials. MedlinePlus is mirrored in Spanish, and has health topics in over 40 languages.
The Merck Manual of Medical Information, included in the Merck Library, breaks down the body by section and groups disorders to more easily identify issues with a body system. Produced by Merck & Co., one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies, the publication is edited by physicians and pharmacists to ensure valid, reliable health information.
