Health Care Delivery

The Commonwealth Fund is a "private foundation that aims to promote a high performing health care system that achieves better access, improved quality, and greater efficiency." The Fund's international program in health policy is designed to stimulate innovative policies and practices in the United States and other industrialized countries.

The mission of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is to promote policies that will improve the economic and social well-being of people around the world. The OECD provides a forum in which governments can work together to share experiences and seek solutions to common problems.

The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), an international public health agency that works to improve health and living standards of the countries of the Americas. It serves as the specialized organization for health of the Inter-American System and as the Regional Office for the Americas of the World Health Organization—a part of the United Nations system.

The World Health Organization, a unit within the United Nations system, is "responsible for providing leadership on global health matters, shaping the health research agenda, setting norms and standards, articulating evidence-based policy options, providing technical support to countries and monitoring and assessing health trends."
