MyNCBI allows users to save searches, and receive updates via email or RSS when new articles meeting the earch criteria are published.
Why save searches?
- An ongoing research project. Saving your search allows you to only view the new results, or to view all together over a period of time.
- Quickly see what's new in your field by surveying Medline journals!
How to create a saved search in PubMed:
- Create your search.
- Click on "Create Alert", under the search box.
- Name your search; select "yes" to receive email updates of new search results.
- Select the maximum number of citations you want to receive, how frequently you want PubMed to run your search, etc. These can be changed at any time.
- Click "Save"
You will begin to receive emails with links to new citations that match your search criteria.
