How Do You...

This "How Do You" guide answers common library questions, such as how to find information on a topic, request a book, get material from another campus, cite resources, or access information from off-campus!

Tutorial for Accessing Library Resources in AIMS

Links to many resources are posted in AIMS. These links will require you to authenticate as a NEOMED library affiliate to access.

To authenticate, you will need your student ID number (i.e. 00123456, for library purposes do not include the @). You should have received this from enrollment services.

There are two different types of URL’s that will require authentication.

1. NEOMED licensed resources – you will see crusher.neomed.edu in the URL.

http://0-www.psychiatrist.com.crusher.neomed.edu/private/supplenet/v68s04/v68s0405.pdf

When you click the URL, you’ll get a page asking for this information.

Your name will be your given name: Last, First.

Your library ID number is your student ID number. You’ll need to enter the zeroes; the system wants an 8-digit number not including the @.

2. OhioLINK licensed resources – ohiolink.edu will be in the URL.

http://journals.ohiolink.edu/ejc/article.cgi?issn=02639319&issue=v30i0011&article=590_iafbie

When you click the URL, you’ll first be asked to identify your institution.

You will them be prompted to enter your login credentials as  noted above.

Note – your student ID number provides off-campus access, lets you request books, and allows you access to printing using the campus printers.

If you ever forget your ID number, stop by the library or call the Information Desk at 330-325-6600.
