A directory of permissible use image resources for NEOMED faculty, staff, and students

About Image Citations

The recommended citation formats are abbreviated formats developed by the library to provide sufficient information for the viewer to find the image without overwhelming the content on the slide.

Citations are available for images from both licensed library resources and on the Internet.

To create the © symbol, press ctrl+alt+C or use the insert symbol function.

Citing Licensed Images

AccessMedicine and AccessPharmacy citations are included in the images, no additional citation is necessary.

Citing Web Images

Citing images found on the web is essential to ensure the image can be used appropriately. The dynamic web means image is here one day, and may be gone the next. Including citation information such as date retrieved serves as good citation practices, which is then illustrated to  students.
